Salman Khan Starrer Race 3 Continues To Break Box Office Records; Collecting 160 Crore In Its Second Week

Race 3

Race 3 got released on 15 June on the eve of Eid which is a pretty usual pattern that Salman Khan follows for most of his films. The film became the highest Hindi opener of 2018.

Apart from Salman Khan being in lead, the movie casts Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah and Bobby Deol. Anil Kapoor being the only actor who has been featured in three of the Race movies.

The movie managed to make a good box office collection of 160 crore so far and continues to earn even more. The movie is in its second week and still shows no signs of slowing down.

Remo D’Souza’s direction has not been able to gather desired reviews, yet this cannot stop Bhai fans from flocking to theatres no matter what. No doubt, crossing Rs 200 crore mark is not at all a big deal for Salman Khan as he has the potential of getting the audience to the theatres. Still, this week will tell if Salman Khan starrer will hit the mark of Rs 200 crore.

Keeping aside the amazing success at the box office, the film failed to impress critics. According to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com, Trade experts sight unfavourable reviews as the reason behind the average box-office performance. While the numbers are still good, the film has undoubtedly performed much lower than other Salman Khan films. With Race 3’s entry to the 100-crore club within a week, Salman gets back to his Twitter account to thank everyone for watching the film and also for appreciating the team’s work. He tweeted, “I thank every 1 who has gone to see #Race3 in the theatres n each n every 1 individually for watching race n glad that u have liked n appreciated every 1s effort that was put in the movie. God bless sukhi raho n keep watching, means a lot.”
